Interesting Information

Mouthing and biting are usual problems with all pugs. If not controlled by the time the pug puppy gets older, not only will you have a dog that is not as cooperative while handling, but also a larger, stronger jaw to cope with.

Mouthing can become a way for pug puppies to try to control you, permitting them to take that first step towards assuming a leadership role within your home. Here are some techniques that might assist you to train and socialize your puppy.

Same like babies, a pug goes through the teething process. It is a usual habit of puppies of all breeds to use their mouth to explore the environment.

Provide your pug dogs some chew toys with different textures to help get their chewing needs appropriately with puppy training. Huge rawhide bones and carrots can be placed in the freezer and supplied to a teething puppy. Braided fiber bones dipped in chicken broth or water and then frozen are also a good alternative.

When your puppy gets overly noisy and starts nipping and chewing on you, you should handle the situation like his mom. You must let out a noise that lets him know it hurt and he will definitely leave you.

If you wish to maintain good relation with your pup simply treat him as you care your child.

Reward the puppy for his good habits. Puppies respond eagerly and immediately to rewards that propel. You may also use assignment of a command like "no bite" or "no mouth", so he will move his behavior with your command. This method should work with the average, eager-to-please pup.

If your puppy dont hear what you say, or is getting more and more nasty with people and also with you, its serious then. And he will continue doing the same until you teach him not to.
